Xaash: The Kaas Disruption

After the fire, Xaash took refuge in the giant forest, far beyond the limit, and remained there for the longest two months of his life (64 days precisely). All she had with her was her poor little dark beige dress, and her lightsabers, which she always kept with her, hanging on her leg… those of her family. For the first week, Xaash moved continuously, never knowing what to do or where to go. She held her arms, and walked through the dark jungle, dodging the various creatures of Dromund Kaas. On the 9th day, she decided to snuggle up against a tree, between the roots, and did not move for more than a month and a half. No one knows how she managed to stay alive and healthy without eating, drinking or moving during this long period. She was doing nothing. Nothing except dreaming of her family, of her brother gone away from her, of her adored father, and of her tender mother. But often, words came to mind. She didn't know where they were coming from, but she was sure she heard them in her head. A vision that passed by day by day, and which repeated  : “  Cage - Carnage - Rescue  »... And the only word that seemed logical to her was the first, because indeed she felt trapped in her destiny, in this jungle, in this... CAGE.

One evening, she finally heard voices that did not come from her head. Frightened and puzzled, she slowly rose from her corner between the roots, and turned around. It overlooked a small field, where there was a small village, or rather a camp, with tents, a campfire, and two or three huts. How had she managed not to notice it before  ?

More and more intrigued, she listened to some discussions between the members of the small community. Suddenly, Xaash heard a young clansman laugh, and ask a question that froze his heart.

"  Master  ? How did you go about blowing up the house of those sith hounds near Kaas City?

Xaash had found them. She had found the monsters that had made her who she was today. His blood heated at an increasing speed. His pulse was drumming faster and faster, stronger and stronger. She will have one of his lightsabers in her hand. The animals had to pay.

But then, a revelation gave him a second shock. The master who had been asked the question looked up from under his worn gray hood. This face  ! it was him  ! Xaash did not move and felt betrayed, weakened, by this discovery. The old man his parents cared for so often, he was the one who had done this.

The little sith put her hand on the ground, lowered her head, then, after a brief pause, swung her saber even harder, and raised her head, shaking, this time flushed with anger.

A head fell to the ground. A cry was uttered. And in a fraction of a second, a third of the camp was dead. Everything was so fast. The old man stood up, drew a blue-bladed lightsaber, and turned around. The 8 men behind him were assembled in a pile of corpses.

The panic-stricken man turned every 3 seconds, while a shadow, small, fast and silent, sped in all directions, equipped with a smoking red blade. In a flash, the laser of the young sith, suddenly arriving behind the jedi, cut the body of the old man from the left hip to the right shoulder.

Ahead, a woman screams, holding her baby in her arms, as a small, red-eyed Sith raises her saber above their heads, and immediately slays him. Screams were still heard in the forest, but this time it was not the clan. This time it was the jungle itself, screaming in horror as it witnessed... CARNAGE.

The ensuing powerful disturbance reached Kaas City with such force that the entire population, Force-sensitive or not, turned in the same direction.

As the last body falls on top of the others, Xaash places his foot on the human heap, and stares into the distance, his eyes filled with tears, rage, and hatred.

A few hours later, Lord Zash calls his superiors, and decides to embark alone on an expedition, to find the source of all this hatred, of all this power... The next day, the sith takes a speeder and sinks in the jungle. It is only after a few short days that Zash finds the clan, the overhanging tree, and huddled against it, a young child, dressed in a bloodstained dress.

"  Don't worry, said the beautiful blonde-haired woman to the wild child. You don't fear anything anymore. I'm here now. I'm here for your... RESCUE.  »
